I first came across Trafalgar Boat Club when I went to Southampton Boat Show 2017, the person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and reassuring so I arranged to meet someone at the club house which was a good experience.
Having gone through the various options I decided which was the best one for me. All my dealings with the club have been a positive experience, the general staff and the tutors have welcomed me and made feel at home. I would recommend this
club to anyone who is considering being on the water and who does not want the hassle of owning a boat. A very good experience all round.

I would recommend to all members wishing to improve their seamanship skills and to make their enjoyment on the water safer. As the saying goes “you don`t know what you know until you don`t know what you know”. I have just passed the RYA Day Skipper Shorebased course with Trafalgar boat club and found it to be a great experience, it is well organised, and the staff could not have been more helpful.

The real gift that Trafalgar boat club has is in choosing staff that are exceptional. I have never come across a business where every single member of staff goes out of their way to be helpful, not just the front of house and management but all the guys doing the boat handling and checkout. I was a member for a year then stopped for my own reasons but I was treated the same from day one to the end. Lovely people.

This is exactly what I was looking for, having a selection of boats to choose from without having to own them all. No stresses, no storage to worry about, no repairs, it really is the way boating should be for those who don’t want to own. Not only that but the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them and during winter months the amount of special events on the calendar where they provide amazing food, music and drink all free makes this FIVE STARS from me!!! If you’re considering boating without hassles take a trip down to the boat club and get a taste of it!

I’ve been a member of Boat Club for over a year and it’s been fabulous. The team are extremely friendly, always go above and beyond to help. Availability of boats is always good and there is a good variety, although you’ll always have your favorite! Boat Club is the clever way of boating without all of the headaches.

I have just joined the boat Club. looking forward to the Spring when I will be out on the water. lovely boats and friendly atmosphere. A great opportunity to enjoy boating with none of the hassle.

Venue and view is amazing. Menu is very much aimed at lunches and light bites, we went for breakfast, but there is no breakfast menu as such. Asked for well done bacon which I didn’t get. I would go again and give it another chance, maybe a bit later in the day.

I have owned boats before but finding the boat club on my doorstep in portsmouth was a god send. The whole set up is fantastic. The team who run it are so friendly and knowledgeable and it s all geared about you getting the maximum time and fun out on the water. From gaining a Power boat level 2 qualification to a great range of boats to choose from in the fleet. I have never been disappointed with the availability and the booking APP so simple to use and fare to all members. Never have i waited for a boat to be launched always ready to go straight off with the safe guard of a pre safety check before hand to ensure you know the boats features. All my family and friends have loved coming for days out with many actually joining the club as a result. The benefits are huge and i can’t recommend it highly enough. The time and worry about maintaining a boat gone and all wrapped up in a super friendly club putting members and their needs first. Lots of events and as the club grows the excitement of new boats being added. I will be a member for a long long time to come.

Great option to get out on the Solent. Works out way cheaper than buying, gives you loads of choice and is quick and easy. Team there are great too!

If your looking to see if you going to like power boating before investing ££££’s look no further. Trafalgar Boat Club offers a fantastic opportunity to try out any of their fleet for fixed monthly fee starting at £295 and is really handy if you live in the Portsmouth/Solent area as they are based at Porcester. Staff are lovely and very friendly and facilities are second to none. I’ve been able to book a boat within 24 hrs and it’s in the water, checked and ready to go first thing in the morning,all you pay is your fuel….simple! I have loved belonging to the club, they even paid for my PB 2 licence included in my monthly membership normally costs over £250…such a bonus. Oh and don’t forget the socials as well! I would say just call them,pop down and see what it’s all about, you won’t be disappointed!
