From the day I enquired, I was made to feel special and part of a boat club family. The main reason I chose to join boat club was the family club feel and the way the club was run, everything is run with military precision.

We all really enjoyed the Gin tasting evening – great opportunity to try different Gins and understand the best way to serve the drink. Both Tracey and myself have never really been Gin drinkers, but after the evening we will certainly be enjoying a few G&T’s in the future. Favourite was the pink gin – perfect summer drink. As well as enjoying the drinks, it was great to meet a few of the other members of the club.

We feel we have been thoroughly spoilt having the opportunity to use the impressive Boat Club facilities and fantastic boats. Absolutely everyone has been so helpful and accommodating, nothing has been too much trouble and all done with such willingness.

Sas and I both thoroughly enjoyed the Pizza and beer evening last Friday. It was nice to spend some time chatting to other members, as well as the Boat Club team – Kat, Steve and Tom. It was also good to meet Jonny for the first time. We were very impressed by the delicious pizzas, so we’ll certainly be visiting Stansted Park to try more of them! Likewise, the local beers from Emsworth; which made a nice change from the usual choice. Mike Homer’s brief presentation was a good taster for the VHF radio course; he found just the right balance between information and humour, so that it was interesting for all. Good food, a few(!) drinks, good company; and all down by the water, surrounded by boats – what more could we ask for! I know the Boat Club has more social events planned for the rest of the year, so I’m looking forward to the next one.

Suzanne and I enjoyed the Pizza and beer evening. The freshly cooked pizzas were delicious and we enjoyed trying the various local crafted beers. The hospitality of the Boat Club team was great!

Great evening to meet fellow members and catch up with the very helpful and friendly boat club team. The pizza and beer was a fantastic idea and really appreciated. New layout of the clubhouse is great and I can’t wait for boating ahead.
